Upon reaching the apartment building, Dave climbed the flights of stairs to his top floor apartment. A trek, for certain, but nothing Dave thought about, even when the elevator was in working order. He didn't think of the handful of yellow spots on the stairs.
That was, not until he reached the top steps, where foot prints of yellow led from the doorway of apartment 2222, the door leading to it ajar.
